I think you are referring to the Hakuro-nishiki Dappled willow tree. It grows 6-8 ft tall, in sun or part shade and in zones 4-9. It has variegated leaves with pretty pink shoots on the ends that look like flowers in the spring. We have really enjoyed it! I would recommend growing it in a partly shady area.
